What you’ll do
Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs. Preparing reports and presenting these to management or clients. Monitoring data quality and streamlining processes. Using SQL queries and Python code to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns. Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
What you must have for this position
- At least 5 years of experience with a SQL-based database such as MySQL
- Ability to write, design, and debug SQL queries and views as needed
- Demonstrable knowledge of reporting
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an analytics role
- Advanced Excel Proficiency (Vlookup, Xlookup, Pivot Tables, Index/Match)
- Advanced proficiency in visualization tools e.g., Excel, Tableau, Domo, etc
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities
- 3+ years experience using Python for data analysis
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python
- Familiarity with Pandas
- Ability to convey technical issues at both high and low levels in a concise and comprehensive manner
- You can quickly profile and understand a data set and implement an appropriate process in code for working with it.
What is nice to have for this position
- Experience in Python or R for complex data manipulation and statistical analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, or related field preferred
- Experience with AWS concepts and services
- Familiarity with API’s and associated tools, such as Postman
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line scripting
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup that is constantly evolving
- Experience with Agile workflows and SDLC
- Experience in healthcare and especially HL7/FHIR
